Canadian Athabaskans

Canadian Athabaskans are Indigenous peoples belonging to the Athabaskan language family, primarily residing in northern Canada, including regions of Yukon, the Northwest Territories, and northern Alberta. They have a rich cultural heritage rooted in hunting, fishing, and subsistence activities suited to their northern environment. Historically semi-nomadic, they relied on a deep knowledge of their land and natural resources. Today, they continue to maintain their cultural traditions, languages, and community connections while integrating modern aspects of Canadian society. They are recognized as distinct First Nations groups within Canada's broader Indigenous landscape.
