Calvanism

Calvinism is a branch of Protestant Christianity based on the teachings of John Calvin, a 16th-century reformer. It emphasizes the sovereignty of God, the authority of Scripture, and the doctrine of predestination, which asserts that God has already determined who will be saved and who will not. Calvinists believe in the total depravity of humanity, meaning that people are inherently sinful and cannot achieve salvation through their own efforts. Instead, salvation is a gift from God, accessible through faith in Jesus Christ. Calvinism has significantly influenced various Christian denominations and theological thought throughout history.
