Callicrates

Callicrates was an ancient Greek architect and sculptor who, around the 5th century BCE, played a key role in designing and constructing important classical buildings. Most notably, he co-designed the Parthenon on the Acropolis of Athens, a symbol of Greek artistry and architecture. Callicrates was part of a team working during Athens’ Golden Age, applying advanced architectural techniques to create structures that combined beauty, stability, and harmony. His work helped set standards for classical Greek architecture and influenced building design for centuries.
