California Redevelopment Association

The California Redevelopment Association (CRA) was an organization representing local governments in California involved in redevelopment efforts. Its primary goal was to support the revitalization of urban areas, improve public infrastructure, and stimulate economic growth, particularly in underdeveloped neighborhoods. The CRA advocated for policies that helped local agencies use tax increment financing to fund redevelopment projects. However, California eliminated redevelopment agencies in 2011, leading the CRA to focus on advocating for new economic development strategies and policies to support local communities and address ongoing challenges faced by cities after the dissolution of these agencies.
