California Courts

California courts are part of the state’s judicial system, responsible for interpreting and enforcing laws. They are organized into three main levels: Superior Courts handle most cases, including civil and criminal; Courts of Appeal review decisions from the Superior Courts; and the California Supreme Court is the highest court, addressing significant legal issues and ensuring uniformity in law. Courts aim to provide fair trials and uphold justice for all citizens, with judges and juries playing key roles in the legal process. The system is designed to be accessible and uphold the rights of individuals.
