CAIC Field Program
The CAIC Field Program is an initiative by the Colorado Avalanche Information Center that involves on-the-ground data collection and research related to avalanches and snow conditions. Trained professionals and volunteers work in various locations to gather information, study snowpack stability, and monitor hazards. This program helps improve understanding of avalanche risks, supports safety warnings, and informs public education efforts, ultimately aiming to reduce avalanche accidents and enhance safety for winter enthusiasts and communities in avalanche-prone areas.
