Caffeine withdrawal syndrome
Caffeine withdrawal syndrome occurs when someone who regularly consumes caffeine suddenly stops or reduces intake. Since caffeine is a stimulant that temporarily blocks fatigue signals in the brain, sudden absence can lead to symptoms like headaches, fatigue, irritability, difficulty concentrating, and mood changes. These symptoms typically begin within 12-24 hours after stopping and can last several days to a week. The severity depends on how much and how often a person consumed caffeine. It's a temporary adjustment process, as the brain rebalances its natural alertness levels without caffeine.
