C-sections

A C-section, or cesarean delivery, is a surgical procedure used to deliver a baby through an incision made in the mother's abdomen and uterus. It is commonly performed when vaginal delivery poses risks to the mother or baby, such as fetal distress, abnormal positioning, or health complications. The procedure is typically done under regional anesthesia, so the mother remains awake. C-sections can be planned ahead of time or performed urgently if unexpected issues arise during labor. Recovery usually takes longer than vaginal birth, but the procedure is generally safe and can save lives when necessary.
