
Byron White
Byron White was an American lawyer, football player, and judge who served as a Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court from 1962 to 1993. Before his legal career, he was a standout football player at the University of Colorado and played professionally for the Denver Broncos and Pittsburgh Steelers. After retiring from football, he became a lawyer and later a federal judge in Colorado, eventually appointed to the Supreme Court by President John F. Kennedy. Known for his independence, White often favored a balance between individual rights and government authority, contributing significantly to American legal thought during his tenure.
