Bustard
A bustard is a large, ground-dwelling bird found mainly in open areas across Africa, Eurasia, and Australia. Known for their size and strength, they typically have long necks, strong legs, and distinctive plumage, often with intricate patterns. Bustards are omnivorous, feeding on insects, seeds, and small animals. They are capable of powerful flight but usually prefer walking or running to escape predators. Many species are notable for their elaborate courtship displays during the breeding season. Due to habitat loss and hunting, some bustard species are threatened or endangered.
