Bushfire Cooperative Research Centre
The Bushfire Cooperative Research Centre (Bushfire CRC) was an Australian organization dedicated to improving bushfire management through research and collaboration. It brought together scientists, emergency services, landowners, and government agencies to develop better strategies for preventing, preparing for, and responding to bushfires. The center focused on understanding fire behavior, impacts, and community engagement, aiming to reduce risks and enhance safety and resilience in fire-prone areas. Although it officially ended in 2014, its work continues through ongoing research and programs that support safer and more effective bushfire management across Australia.
