Burkitt's disease

Burkitt's disease is a fast-growing type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a cancer originating from B-cells, a type of white blood cell. It commonly affects children and young adults and is linked to infections like the Epstein-Barr virus in some cases. The disease causes tumors, often in the jaw, abdomen, or other organs. It spreads rapidly, but because it grows quickly, it can often be treated successfully with intensive chemotherapy if diagnosed early. Recognizing symptoms such as swelling or lumps and seeking prompt medical attention are crucial for effective treatment.
