Bultmann's Demythologization

Bultmann's Demythologization is a theological approach that interprets biblical stories, especially those involving supernatural elements, as symbolic truths rather than literal facts. He argued that the original texts used mythic language to convey spiritual and moral messages, which modern people might find hard to accept literally. Therefore, he suggested reinterpreting these stories to focus on their underlying meaning—encouraging believers to find personal faith and existential significance beyond historical or supernatural claims.
