Buland Darwaza

The Buland Darwaza, meaning "High Gate," is a grand entrance built in 1573 in Fatehpur Sikri, India, by Mughal Emperor Akbar. It serves as a magnificent gateway to the Jama Masjid mosque and symbolizes Akbar’s power and victory. Made from red sandstone, it stands about 54 meters (177 feet) tall and features intricate carvings, inlay work, and calligraphy.
