Building Officials and Code Administrators International (BOCA)
Building Officials and Code Administrators International (BOCA) was an organization focused on establishing and promoting uniform building codes and standards across North America. It aimed to ensure safety, health, and welfare in the built environment by providing guidance, training, and resources for building officials and code administrators. BOCA played a crucial role in the development of building codes that govern construction practices, ensuring that structures are safe and meet regulatory requirements. In 2003, BOCA merged with other code organizations to form the International Code Council (ICC), further enhancing its mission of promoting safe and sustainable building practices.
