Bugsy Siegel

Bugsy Siegel was an American mobster and a key figure in organized crime during the early 20th century. Born in 1906, he was instrumental in the development of Las Vegas as a gambling hub, notably through his role in the construction of the Flamingo Hotel and Casino. Known for his charm and ruthlessness, Siegel was involved in various illegal activities, including bootlegging and extortion. His lavish lifestyle and vision for Las Vegas drew attention but also led to his downfall; he was murdered in 1947, likely due to disputes over money and power within the mob.
