Budding

Budding is a form of asexual reproduction where a new organism develops from an outgrowth or bud on the parent. This bud forms as a small protrusion, gradually enlarging and eventually detaching or remaining attached, to become an independent organism or a clone of the parent. It allows for rapid growth and colonization. Many organisms like yeast, certain plants, and invertebrates such as Hydra reproduce through budding. This process preserves genetic continuity and is efficient in stable environments, ensuring the organism's survival without the need for mating or genetic exchange.
