Brushing and Flossing Techniques
Brushing involves holding a toothbrush with gently angled bristles against all surfaces of your teeth and gums, moving in small circular or gentle back-and-forth motions for about two minutes, at least twice daily. Flossing requires taking about 18 inches of dental floss, winding it around your fingers, and carefully sliding it between teeth. Gently curve the floss around each tooth in a āCā shape and slide it under the gum line to remove plaque and debris. Regular brushing and flossing help prevent cavities and gum disease by effectively cleaning areas that toothbrushes can't reach.
