Brunner's syndrome
Brunner's syndrome is a rare genetic disorder caused by a mutation affecting a gene involved in brain development and function. It often leads to behavioral and emotional challenges such as impulsivity, difficulty with self-control, and sometimes mild intellectual impairment. People with this condition may also experience impulsive aggression or mood swings. The disorder results from abnormalities in the brain’s neurotransmitter systems, affecting regulation of emotions and behavior. Diagnosis usually involves genetic testing, psychological assessments, and observation of symptoms. While there is no cure, management includes behavioral therapies and support strategies to help individuals lead balanced lives.
