Broca's Aphasia
Broca's aphasia is a condition caused by damage to a specific area in the brain responsible for speech production. People with this condition often understand language well but struggle to speak or form complete sentences. Their speech is typically slow, halting, and effortful, with simplified grammar. Despite these difficulties, their ability to understand others usually remains relatively intact. Broca’s aphasia results from stroke or injury to the frontal lobe region of the brain, affecting communication but not necessarily overall intelligence or comprehension. Recovery varies, and speech therapy can help improve language skills.
