British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection (BUAV)
The British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection (BUAV) was an organization dedicated to ending the use of animals in scientific research and testing. They advocated for animal rights and promoted alternative methods that do not involve animal suffering. The BUAV worked to influence legislation, raise public awareness, and support humane research practices. In 2014, it merged with other groups to form Cruelty Free International, continuing its mission to promote cruelty-free testing and improve animal welfare worldwide.
