British Political System
The British political system is a parliamentary democracy where citizens elect Members of Parliament (MPs) to represent them in the House of Commons. The government is formed by the political party with the majority of seats, led by the Prime Minister. The UK also has a constitutional monarchy, with the monarch (currently King Charles III) acting as a ceremonial figurehead. The Parliament, comprising the House of Commons and the House of Lords, makes laws and oversees the government. This system balances elected representation with tradition, ensuring accountability, stability, and continuous governance.
