
British Columbia Legislature
The British Columbia Legislature is the provincial government’s law-making body in British Columbia, Canada. It consists of the Lieutenant Governor (representing the Queen) and one elected chamber called the Legislative Assembly. Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) are elected by residents to propose, debate, and pass laws that affect the province. The Legislature also approves budgets and oversees government actions.
