British Association for Adoption and Fostering

The British Association for Adoption and Fostering (BAAF) was an organization dedicated to improving the lives of children in care, particularly those needing adoption or fostering. Established in 1986, it offered support, information, and guidance to professionals, families, and children, advocating for best practices and reforms in adoption and fostering processes. The BAAF aimed to ensure children's needs were prioritized and that they had stable and loving homes. In 2018, the BAAF merged with another organization, the Adoption and Fostering Alliance (AFA), continuing its mission under a unified approach to support children and families in the UK.
