British Air Ministry

The British Air Ministry was a government department responsible for overseeing the UK's aerial defense and civil aviation from 1918 to 1964. It managed the development, regulation, and administration of the Royal Air Force (RAF) and set policies related to air strategy, technology, and industry. The Air Ministry played a key role during wartime and in advancing aviation technology, functioning as the main authority for Britain’s air force operations and aviation-related affairs before being succeeded by the Ministry of Defence.
