British Aerospace (BAe) was a major aerospace and defense company in the UK, founded in 1977 through the merger of several British aircraft manufacturers. It specialized in designing and producing military and civil aircraft, military equipment, and aerospace products. Known for aircraft like the Tornado, Hawk, and parts of the Airbus, BAe played a key role in global aerospace markets. In 1999, it merged with other European aerospace companies to form BAE Systems, one of the world’s largest defense contractors.
