Brickmaking

Brickmaking is the process of creating bricks used in construction by shaping clay or a similar material into blocks and then firing them at high temperatures to harden. Raw materials, primarily clay mixed with water and sometimes other additives like sand or shale, are molded into rectangular shapes. These shaped bricks are then dried to remove moisture and heated in a kiln at temperatures around 900-1,200°C, causing chemical changes that strengthen the brick. The result is durable, uniform building blocks suitable for walls, pavements, and other structures, with the entire process balancing craftsmanship and industrial technology.
