"Bricking it" is a slang term meaning that a device, often an electronic gadget like a smartphone or computer, has become completely unusable due to a malfunction, software error, or failed update. The device is as useful as a "brick" – a non-functioning, unresponsive object. This usually happens when critical system files are corrupted or the device's firmware is damaged, making it impossible to turn on or operate normally. Recovering from a bricked state can sometimes require advanced troubleshooting or professional repair, but in the worst cases, it renders the device permanently inoperable.
