Bretons
Bretons are the indigenous people of Brittany, a region in northwestern France with a distinct cultural identity. They have their own language, Breton, which is a Celtic language related to Welsh and Cornish. Historically, Bretons are descendants of Celtic tribes that migrated from Britain during the early medieval period. Today, they celebrate their heritage through traditional music, dance, festivals, and cuisine. While French is the official language, efforts are ongoing to preserve and promote Breton language and culture, which remain key aspects of their regional identity.
