Brent Oil Field

The Brent Oil Field is a major offshore petroleum production site located in the North Sea, approximately 186 miles northeast of Aberdeen, Scotland. Discovered in 1972, it has been one of the most productive North Sea fields, supplying significant amounts of oil for decades. Operated mainly by Shell, it consists of multiple platforms that extract oil from beneath the seabed. The field's development has involved advanced engineering to manage challenges like high pressure and water depth. Over time, production has declined, but it remains an important part of the UK's oil industry, contributing to energy supply and economic activity.
