Breast FNA

Breast Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) is a minimally invasive procedure used to collect cells from a breast lump or abnormal area. Using a thin, hollow needle, a healthcare provider gently withdraws a small sample of tissue for examination under a microscope. This helps determine whether the lump is benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous). FNA is quick, typically performed in a doctor's office, and usually causes minimal discomfort. It provides valuable information to guide diagnosis and treatment planning, often avoiding the need for more invasive procedures.
