Breakthrough Listen Initiative

The Breakthrough Listen Initiative is a scientific project launched in 2015 dedicated to searching for signs of extraterrestrial intelligent life. Using some of the world’s most powerful telescopes, it scans the universe’s stars, galaxies, and other cosmic phenomena for signals or evidence that might indicate advanced civilizations beyond Earth. The goal is to find any potential communications or signatures that could suggest intelligent life exists elsewhere. By systematically exploring the galaxy and beyond, Breakthrough Listen aims to answer one of humanity’s most profound questions: Are we alone in the universe?
