Breach of Lease

A breach of lease occurs when a tenant fails to follow the terms of their rental agreement, such as paying rent late, damaging the property, or violating any other agreed-upon condition. It can also happen if the landlord does not uphold their responsibilities, like providing a safe environment. When a breach happens, the other party may have legal options, including ending the lease, seeking compensation, or requiring the breach to be corrected. Essentially, it’s a failure to adhere to the contractual obligations set out in the lease agreement.
