Brahminism

Brahminism is an ancient religious tradition originating in India, characterized by the dominance of the Brahmins—priestly class—who played key roles in rituals, spiritual guidance, and maintaining social order. It emphasizes a hierarchical society based on the four varnas (categories), with Brahmins at the top. Central to Brahminism are beliefs in dharma (duty), karma (action), and reincarnation. Over time, it influenced Hinduism's development, shaping religious practices, texts like the Vedas, and social norms. While it contributed to religious culture, it also reinforced social inequalities that have been critically examined and challenged in modern times.
