Bragg spectrometer

A Bragg spectrometer is a scientific device used to analyze the structure of materials by studying X-ray or neutron diffraction. It works on Bragg's Law, which describes how waves reflect off the regular atomic layers within a crystal. When the conditions are right, these waves interfere constructively, creating strong signals. By measuring these signals at different angles, scientists can determine the spacing between atomic planes and gain detailed insights into a material’s microscopic structure. Essentially, it’s a precise tool for revealing the arrangement of atoms in a sample through the pattern of reflected waves.
