Henry of Bracton was a medieval legal scholar from the 13th century who wrote "De Legibus et Consuetudinibus Angliae" (On the Laws and Customs of England). His work is one of the earliest systematic interpretations of English law, combining Roman legal principles with local customs and traditions.
