Bowman's Root

Bowman's capsule, also known as Bowman's root, is a cup-shaped structure in the kidney that plays a crucial role in filtering blood. It surrounds a network of tiny blood vessels called the glomerulus. Blood flows into the glomerulus, and small molecules like water, salts, and waste products are filtered out into Bowman's capsule. This filtrate then moves into other parts of the kidney for further processing to form urine. Essentially, Bowman's capsule acts as the initial collector of filtered blood plasma, beginning the process of waste removal and regulation of body fluids.
