Bourbon distilleries

Bourbon distilleries are facilities where a specific type of American whiskey, called bourbon, is produced. The process involves fermenting a grain mixture—primarily corn—then distilling the liquid to concentrate flavors. The distilled spirit is aged in charred new oak barrels, which give bourbon its characteristic rich flavor, color, and aroma. To be labeled "bourbon," it must meet legal requirements, including being at least 51% corn, distilled to no more than 160 proof, and aged for a minimum of two years in new, charred oak barrels. The process emphasizes craftsmanship to create a distinct, flavorful whiskey enjoyed worldwide.
