Bouncing

Bouncing refers to the dynamic process where an object or surface impacts a surface and then rebounds or springs back due to its elasticity. This occurs because materials temporarily deform upon contact and then return to their original shape, transferring energy in the process. For example, a rubber ball bouncing on the ground demonstrates this concept, as the ball compresses upon impact and then pushes off again. Bouncing can also describe digital email delivery failures, where messages are returned to the sender when they cannot be delivered to the recipient. Both contexts highlight energy transfer and resilience during impact or transmission.
