Bouin's solution

Bouin's solution is a special liquid mixture used in laboratories to preserve tissue samples for microscopic examination. It combines formaldehyde, acetic acid, and picric acid, which work together to prevent decay and maintain the tissue’s structure and cellular detail. This fixative is particularly good at preserving delicate tissues, such as those in the reproductive system or soft organs, by quickly stabilizing proteins and preventing decomposition.
