Boudica (historical figure)

Boudica was a Celtic queen of the Iceni tribe in ancient Britain who led a major uprising against Roman rule around AD 60-61. After her husband’s death, the Romans seized her wealth and mistreated her, prompting her to rally other tribes in rebellion. She and her forces attacked Roman settlements, causing widespread destruction. Although initially successful, her revolt was eventually suppressed. Boudica remains a symbol of resistance and national pride in Britain, exemplifying leadership, resilience, and the fight against oppression.
