Bottom Ash
Bottom ash is a byproduct generated during the combustion of coal or waste in power plants or industrial facilities. When the fuel burns, the heavier and non-volatile materials, such as minerals and metallic components, fall to the bottom of the furnace, forming bottom ash. This ash is usually collected from the bottom of the boiler before the flue gases exit. It contains fine particles and larger remnants and often requires proper handling and disposal to prevent environmental contamination. Bottom ash is sometimes processed for use in construction materials, such as road bases, due to its stability and durability.
