Boserupian theory

Boserupian theory suggests that population growth can stimulate innovation in farming and resource management. As the population increases, the demand for food and resources pushes societies to develop more efficient agricultural techniques, such as creating new tools or expanding cultivated land. Unlike Malthusian views that see population growth as a threat to resources, Boserup argued that human ingenuity responds to pressure, enabling societies to adapt and sustain larger populations through technological progress. In essence, increased population acts as a catalyst for agricultural innovation and development.
