Bonifatius (Saint Boniface)
Saint Boniface, born as Winfrid around 675 AD, was a Christian missionary and archbishop who played a key role in spreading Christianity across parts of Germany and, later, Europe. Renowned for his efforts to reform the church and promote Christian values, he translated religious texts and established churches and monasteries. Boniface is also famous for organizing the destruction of pagan temples and symbols to facilitate Christian conversion. His work significantly shaped the religious landscape of northern Europe, earning him the title "Apostle of the Germans." He was martyred in 754 AD while peacefully promoting Christianity.
