Bonfils Method

The Bonfils Method is a technique used to measure blood pressure by observing changes in the color of a small, transparent tube called a capillary tube or a specialized device (like a colorimetric indicator). When blood is forced into the tube, its color shifts as blood flow varies with pressure. By gradually adjusting pressure and noting the point where the color change indicates the blood's flow, clinicians can determine the systolic and diastolic blood pressure. This method offers a visual and direct way to assess blood pressure without depending solely on traditional cuff methods.
