Bolívar's vision of unity
Simón Bolívar envisioned unity among Latin American countries as a way to strengthen their independence, security, and progress. He believed these nations shared common history, culture, and challenges, and that cooperating economically and politically would enable them to resist external threats and promote prosperity. Bolívar's goal was to create a cohesive and united region—similar to a federation—where countries worked together while maintaining their sovereignty, fostering a sense of shared identity and purpose. His vision was to forge a strong, united Latin America that could stand independently on the world stage.
