Bokashi
Bokashi is a fermentation process for composting organic waste, using beneficial microbes to break down kitchen scraps like fruit, vegetables, and even meat and dairy. Unlike traditional composting, which relies on oxygen, Bokashi fermentation is anaerobic, meaning it occurs without air. The process produces a nutrient-rich pre-compost, which can be buried in soil or added to a compost bin to further decompose into healthy compost. Bokashi is efficient, odor-controlled, and suitable for small spaces or indoor use, making it an effective method to recycle waste into valuable soil amendment while reducing landfill contributions.
