Bohr-Jensen theory

The Bohr-Jensen theory explains how atoms emit or absorb light. It suggests that electrons move between specific energy levels within an atom. When an electron jumps from a higher to a lower level, it releases energy as light; jumping up requires absorbing energy. This movement produces the distinct lines seen in an element's spectral pattern, which can be used to identify elements. Developed in the early 20th century, the theory was foundational in quantum physics and helped us understand atomic structure and spectral analysis in chemistry and physics.
