Bohemian Brethren
The Bohemian Brethren, also known as the Unity of the Brethren, was a Protestant Christian movement that emerged in the early 15th century in what is now the Czech Republic. Inspired by the teachings of Jan Hus, they sought religious reform, emphasizing Scripture, personal faith, and simplicity in worship. The movement faced persecution but played a significant role in the Reformation and influenced broader Protestant traditions. Their focus on education, missionary work, and community living helped spread their ideas across Central Europe, making them a key early Protestant group advocating for religious reform and renewal.
