Boeing 377 Stratocruiser

The Boeing 377 Stratocruiser was a luxurious four-engine propeller-driven airliner developed in the late 1940s for transcontinental and transoceanic flights. It was based on the military C-97 Stratofreighter and featured a double-deck design with a plush passenger cabin and a lounge area. Known for its comfort and range, it could carry around 70-100 passengers across long distances, but was expensive to operate. Despite its innovative design and comfort, it was eventually replaced by more efficient jet aircraft, and only a limited number were built. The Stratocruiser remains a notable example of post-war commercial aviation.
